Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be a qualified nonprofit organization, school, government entity, church, or fiscally sponsored charitable project.
- Serve Dickinson County residents.
- Be in good standing with the Community Foundation of Dickinson County.
- Have completed any required reports for previous Foundation grants.
- Submit a complete application and project budget.
- Clearly explain the community need and expected impact.
Projects We Prioritize
Preference is given to projects that:
- Address a demonstrated community need.
- Benefit Dickinson County residents.
- Strengthen nonprofit services or capacity.
- Encourage collaboration.
- Demonstrate realistic planning and budgeting.
- Would not happen—or would be significantly reduced—without Foundation support.
We Generally Do Not Fund
Examples include:
- Debt repayment
- Political activities
- Religious worship or instruction (unless serving the broader community)
- Fundraising events or sponsorships
- Projects already completed
- Requests with incomplete budgets or insufficient information
